OT...unexpected extra long weekend

Good morning all, Yesterday afternoon I was called to the superintendent's office at the military base where I work for the schools. I work with special needs children as well as drive them to and from school. Well, there seems to be a major outbreak of the whopping cough at 3 of the base schools. 4 children that I work with directly have been exposed and could possibly be infected. I was put on major antibiotics and told to be in Quarentien for 5 days. How in the world am I going to stay in for 5 days??? I will go out of my mind! The weather is beautiful and I LOVE to golf! High 80's for the next 7 days here. If there are any nurses out there then maybe you could help me. They told me I was fine to be around my family (I have a special needs child that has NO immune system) but I can't go out into public and can have no visitors at my house. How am I safe to my family and not the public? I just don't get it. I have a call in to my special needs childs doctor just make sure he doesn't need to be on meds too. I will stay in because I don't want to expose anyone else but it is sure going to be hard!!!! Maybe I'll go to the beach and sit where there is no one around.The officers beach is usually empty. Oh well, looks like a miserable long weekend for me......hope everyone elses is good and FUN!!!! Later, Pam May 30, last visit with PS for my Breast lift and implants on June 5.
