Hi just wondering if you have received a call from Dr Boiverts yet? I go my referral sent in May 3, 2016. Still no news for me. I have a friend who had referral sent in March 1, 2016 and she's got her first communication from the office May 26 2017 and has went thru the dietician and met with him on sept 19 and will be having surgery probably in Dec...I'm really hoping to get a call soon. I did call the office to update my phone number and she also told me 2-4 years.
Hi all - I'm just wondering what the average wait times have been for others. I called Dr. Savoie's office today just to see how long my wait is, and was told 2 more years. I feel like bawling.
I have MS, asthma, arthritis, depression, anxiety, lots of stress, etc, etc, etc. I've been trying to lose on my own and failing over and over. I get discouraged, pain stops me, then my depression hits and I just cycle through it all over and over again. I know I'll have loose skin, I don't care. I need this weight gone. I feel like I'm walking in a fat suit, I can feel it move as I move.
I have three kids - 17, 16, and 3. My kids are all active. I WANT to be healthy and active for them. I want to feel good!
What kept or keeps you going through this process? What exercise routines have you managed to get into and maintain - what keeps you motivated? I feel like I have been screaming for help for years and I'm losing hope.
I'm having a really bad day. I've been reading this forum off and on. Everyone sounds so positive.
I actually did finally hear from the office early August. I had my all day appt booked for a day in September, but had to cancel and rebook as my partner could get time off from his work to go with me as he was travelling.
I had it rescheduled for Dec 1st, but they called me last monday and told me one of the drs won't be in that day...so they wanted me to come in for 2 partial days that week. I'm coming over from PEI so I'd rather not have to travel 2 days in one week. plus it was hard enough for me to get Dec 1st off as its a busy time at my work right now so asking for another day off isn't really an option. I asked if I could see the other 3 specialists on the 1st and do a Skype session with the psychiatrist (the dr who was going to be out), but I was told they book the drs in pairs and the other is physio so Id have to come over regardless.
At this time I couldn't rebook as my company is on a vacation black out til the spring, but the person at the office said if I could find a day between now and then I was able to get off, to give her a call and they would squeeze me in.
Such a hassle for those not in NB, its too bad they didn't have a team of docs that came over here once a month or so.
I just found out I was scheduled for the end of November and would love to hear from anyone who has had VSG done in Bathurst!?
I am kinda freaking out right now...Help! lol
I was referred October 2013. My first appointment to meet the team was in July...I met with surgeon in September and I just had my afternoon session last week (Bathurst) and I am scheduled for the end of November. It is kinda freaking me out how fast this all seems to be happening now...but a good freaking out...well...mostly.

Nope not yet. I haven't even had the one day info session yet. All I had was the meeting with Dr B and that he approved me to have it. From what I know, the full day session will likely be in the Spring 2018 and then surgery by Summer. It seems to take a year from the time you meet him....crazy.
