Hi, yes I do.. when I checked in I gave them my insurance information and requested a semi or private (based on availability) and I did end up having a private for one night (the other nights I was in ICU) but same here - I never got an invoice.
Yes, the wait is terrible.. It can make you crazy if you obsess about it too much, but that is hard not to do. Just try to put it out of your mind and one day, the call will come... and you will be sooo happy!!!!
NadiaO, I had my surgery on June 8th and since they were closed up there for a couple of weeks in July/August, I didn't get my 6 week appointment until 2nd week in September. They said they would book me in within 3 more months, but he said with the long drive I have (3 1/2 hrs approx.) and if we get a winter like we had last year, he would be ok if I didn't go bac****il spring, unless of course, I have issues, and then to get right back up there!! Fingers crossed, I haven't had ANY issues with my sleeve....
When I had my surgery in Bathurst, I put in for a semi private but ended up with a private room and I haven't received any invoice from the hospital.... Do you have insurance?
There is a lovely woman on here that had to do her boost over Christmas...now that would be terrible!!!
Unfortunately waiting is one of the hardest parts of this process...don't give up...it will happen for you and when it does it will be the best thing you have every waited for!!

Don't get too discouraged, it is a long process but so worth it. Some wait up to 5 years for it.
They are also starting to do surgeries in Fredericton now, too. Has your doctor referred you to Bathurst, Moncton and Fredericton?
I told myself it took years for me to gain all the weight so it can't be lost without some time for the process, too.
If your health issues are worse, have your doctor reassess you and see if you need testing or for them to send a more urgent referral. Even though they go in order, if your health is declining that may speed things up somewhat.
In the meantime, make sure your health is optimum by quitting smoking if you smoke and quitting soft drinks as they are prohibited after and they want you to stop them beforehand, as well as getting used to eating meals and not drinking liquids with them.
Good luck in your journey.
