Topic: RE: Protein

I do a double protein shake in the morning and sip on that all morning. That gets me my first 50 grams.

After that I have nuts or either roasted chick peas or roasted green peas. Meals are always front-loaded with poultry or eggs.

I was told to aim for 80g a day minimum, I'm getting there pretty consistently.

I had my first appointment in Bathurst Sept.8th 2015. Im going to have Dr.Semerjian. im just waiting on my letter for when I get to meet him in the Spring. I didnt want to be travelling from Grand Manan Island to Bathurst in the winter. Im excited to get things going.  Ive heard nothing but good about Dr.Semerjian which is great!

I make sure I have meat at both lunch and supper.  Breakfast for me is a protein shake and I usually have a protein bar as an afternoon snack.  I always have almonds in my desk and car for a quick protein pick me up and fill me up ?

Topic: RE: What if Christmas Eating is part of the tradition?

I am not quite 6 months post op and while it can be hard to resist the all the temptations that surround us on holidays I think you will find that once you really start to see the weight coming off that resisting the temptations just becomes that much easier...at least I find this to be the case for myself.  I will say that perhaps it is easier for me because both of my sisters and I have all had VSG surgery so everyone in the family is very understanding and we all are going through it together.

How did this go for you? I managed to stay away from a lot of foods, but I didn't feel deprived and was very happy. I hope you felt good about the holidays as well.

My experience with Dr. Semerjian was excellent.

You've had this meeting by now, how did it go?
