Good morning!
I am scheduled to have a sleeve gastrectomy by Dr. B at the Dumont Hospital in Moncton on Tuesday July 12 2016. I just started the preop Slim Time diet this morning. I am wondering if any of you had tips and tricks for this upcoming adventure I am about to start? I am so excited but anxious at the same time!!
Thank you! :)

So happy to hear that you already feel and see the difference so quickly! Good for you!!!! Keep up the good work! Keep us updated!!!
2 months post-surgery
I am really starting to gain some self-confidence. The 45lbs I have already lost is showing on my body. I notice it and people around me are noticing. I am able to wear tight fitting clothes without fear. Before, my wardrobe was filled with sweaters and cardigans to cover-up/hide. Now I don't need them and feel secure with how I look. I still want to lose around 75 more pounds but I am already feeling the benefits of the 45lbs I have lost. I can take the stairs without being extremely winded and don't get tired as quick when walking or shopping. SOOO happy I decided to have this surgery, it's truly life changing! I am still in plus size clothing however, while shopping this week I went into a regular size store and tried some clothes on..... and XL fit....wow!!! I am sure I don't fit to all XL that is out there, but it sure was fun to try some on and have them fit. These little victories that are non-scale related are awesome and sometimes feel ever better then seeing the numbers go down on the scale.

Im just wondering how long did it take you to see the dietation. Twice before meeting the doctor ?
I'm sorry, I'm not sure but it can't hurt to have it in in both places. The wait has been pretty extensive in Moncton (4 - 5 years) and the process has been taking much longer then when I went through it just three years ago (8 months then vs 2 years now, after your first consult). One would think having the second surgeon would speed things up.

how long is the wait list in Moncton? maybe i should ask to be reffered there as well!
Not sure about Bathurst but there's an additional surgeon starting with Dr. B. next month. My sister, *****cently overcame got cleared through the psych assessment / consult (just waiting to sign off on surgery now) received a call in the last week or two asking if she was interested in having the new physician perform her sleeve surgery (she's been working in Quebec the past two years). She'd be looking at a 6 - 9 month wait with Dr. B. or she could have it in August with the new one, so she chose the new. This will really help move things along in Moncton!
I had a routine six month follow-up appointment with Dr. B. last week and Monique said the new surgeon is so, so nice. It sounds like she'll be a nice compliment to Dr. B.
