Topic: Got THE call

Because someone cancelled I got THE call....... for my consult with Dr. Theriault next week. I am beyond excited that the process is finally starting. The days waiting for THE call seemed like an eternity, but the years passed by quickly, considering my first referral was sent in 2007. Fingers crossed all goes well next week and to whom ever cancelled, I thank you with every ounce of my being!

O.o Doing exercise, water and all. So far, at 380 now. 50 pounds down!!!!! Going in this week for my 3 tests, Lungs, Heart and blood tests. I am hoping for the group meeting at the end of the month and hopefully getting operated may-June :) Incredible changes already.

If you have the chance, talk to Dr. Howley in Moncton. He is the best. Dr. Skanes worked twice on me. She did not get a third chance. if you want to know the details...you can pm me as i don't think you are allowed to badmouth doctors on this board. good luck.

Topic: Dr Skanes

Hi, I'm 4 years out from VSG and 9 months out from DS. I saw Dr Skanes re plastics before Christmas and she told me to come back when I think I'm ready which will be once I get to 170 or less and maintain for a year in my opinion. I was wondering if anyone else has used her and what your experience was like?

Topic: RE: Consult Date
My referral was put in in 2007 and my very first meeting was March 2017. I just had my appt with the nurse/dietician on March 8 and my appt with psych and physio March 15th. No real date of when I'll have the actual surgery but was told 8-9 months. I'm from PEI though so idk if that makes the wait time longer.

YAY! I met with the doctor today. It is Dr. Savoie. He is really cool and showed me my options. Will go with Sleeve and he even showed step 2 if you don't loose weight enough :) I don't think that will be a problem. Since the last time I went, I lost 16 pounds on my own (exercise and cutting my diet and drinking shakes and all) So heaviest 430, now 414 on a 6'2 body. I filled out my info for the nurse. She will schedule my ECG and the Lung test (*that lasts up to 1 hour). Will do that in Bathurst as I am scared in Moncton will be backed up as all the french population in NB goes there. O.o Will do Blood tests in Moncton soon as well. He said it could take up to 4 months to get operated but it should be much shorter. I am hoping for the group meeting in a couple of weeks. Met some of the people who are on the list today like I am. Lots of people today wow! I went and bought the Ninja blender (the small one) so I am starting Shakes now in the morning as I want to loose even more. Keep up the exercises. Really encouraged :) Thank you for letting me know your steps as I am really hopeful now.

17lbs to go!

Plastic Surgery scheduled next month for Tummy Tuck and Breast Reduction/Lift with Dr. Howley in Moncton (since breast reduction is covered my cost is $10,000). Could not be more excited. I would like to get my arms and legs done also but will see how I feel about it in a year from now...

-Work-Out....still only walking...do want to start working out more

-Weight loss... not losing but maintaining my loss

-Water consumption...still not drinking enough....

Still no regrets! So grateful for this surgery, truly is life-changing
