I've been referred (YAY!) and I was wondering which type(s) of weightloss surgery Dr. Boisvert performs. Sleeve? RNY?
I know this is an old thread but I figured an update could be helpful for others.
I have been referred to Dr. Boisvert just a few weeks ago. I called his office today to confirm they recieved my referral and to ask about wait times. The receptionist said that they were currently at a 2-4 year wait, which isn't fantastic but a hell of a lot better than the 5-7 years (or more) I was expecting!
Fingers crossed that I get the call sooner like it sounds some people have.
I am so happy to hear that you are seeing Dr. Boisvert! He did a wonderful job, his staff were great, and before going into surgery I felt like I was very informed about everything I needed to know about the surgery and the changes I would need to make to my life, both temporary and long term. He is just so great, and frank, and answered all of my questions even ones I thought might be silly. I was completely prepared mentally for this before going in.
91 lbs in 6 months, I hope to hit (or be past!) the 100 lbs mark by Christmas. I still have a long way to go, at least another 100 lbs. I started out at a very high weight, but I feel like for once in my life that I have all the tools I need to make sure I am successful. I will make it, and I will be healthier!! :)
Omg! 91 lbs in 6 months?????!!!!! That's awesome! Keep up the good work and PLEASE keep us posted! You are very encouraging!
I am also referred to dr. Boisvert. Please keep us posted as to your appointments! Anxious to hear.... it will be a while until I see him, but would love to hear about your's. good luck! Hope you get a surgery date!
Great Job!!! So inspiring to read this post
I see Dr Boisvert on Monday for the second time, hoping to walk out with a surgery date!!
Thank you for your posts, this forum is kinda slow and I love reading all the updates.
congrats on your continued successes..I will hopefully be walking in your shoes shortly.
So today is my 6 month Surgiversary!
Including the 2 week pre op diet I am down a total of 91 lbs!
I am down from wearing a 3-4X shirt to a XL or 1X.
I am down from a tight 28 pant to a very loose 22.
My kilt that I wear for pipe band falls to the floor even on it's tightest buckle setting, I need to have a new one made!
Overall just everything is better. Walking is easier, standing at my job is easier, doing activities at the gym is easier. I feel better, I sleep better, the only food that my sleeve has rejected was a samosa from the Boyce Market, and honestly I don't need to be eating those anyway. I don't deprive myself, but my sleeve has taught me choice, and moderation.
I still have a long way to go, but today I am focusing on how far I've come :)
Hi! I just got home from the all-day session. Lots of information, and the team seems great!
Yes it is the Kay arena. I am free every evening Sunday to Thursday so if you want to set the day and time I am fine with that. It would be nice to get a few more people to join so that if someone can't make it then there are still people to walk with.
Is that the Crossman center at the Kay arena in Moncton? If so I would be. Be nice to switch it up from always going to the gym
