I doubt you will get bumped
I was just told that I won't be able to have it done now till the 30th
so looks like I will be after you now
I am so bitter right now, can't stop crying
Awww man :( This so sucks. I wonder if that means that I will get bumped again too? Let me know when you hear from Erin.
Well I was booked for surgery On Jan 3rd at the DECH...it was cancelled due to no beds
Today I was scheduled, went there was told everything was a go, go changed, did my admission paper, and was waiting to be wheeled down to the OR...AND WAS CANCELLED AGAIN...No beds at the DECH
I am not going to lie I Bawled like a baby
waiting to hear what the hell I am supposed to do now...stay on liquids???when am I going to have surgery??? what do I tell my boss??? I took time off work and found a replacement, and husband took time off work as well...I am sooooo upset
starting to feel like this was not meant to be at all, My Surgeon was in surgery and I wasn't able to talk to him before they ushered me out the door..
I feel Like I have been kicked in the gut...and I still don't have any answers
I am an hour away in sussex but If you are on facebook or instagram I would love to hook up there so that we can chat :)
So I don't know what kind of feedback this is going to get, or if there's even any interest in it at all. I only know of two people in the city who have had the sleeve surgery. One I see once in a blue moon in passing at the gym, and another one I see once in a while at my work as a customer. Neither provide real opportunity to sit down and discuss what we went through, or are going through currently, or what to expect further down the road. I don't think there is a support group set up anywhere for sleeve patients (and if there is, please enlighten me as I'd love to know more!) But if anyone in the Fredericton area would like to get together and hang out, or ask questions, or just to meet another person who has been through the same fears and surgery please let me know. Let's go for a walk when it's nicer out, let's meet up for coffee, let's go out to eat and share an appetizer! lol
Hit me up here, or send me a message. I am lucky and have a wonderful family support, but I'd like the opportunity to meet someone else who has gone (or is thinking of going) through the same thing. The ups and downs, the triumphs and lows... let's be friends :)
OH NO!!!! This is so not fair. Do you at least live nearby? Are you just supposed to go in at 6:30 and then hope that you';ll be done????? I am crossing all the fingers and all the toes that this will go off without a hitch. Think positive.
So Not so funny thing just happened
Surgery tomorrow morning have to be there for 0630 in the morning
Been on liquids for 2 weeks now, clear liquids today \
First Surgery cancelled Jan 3rd
then I get a Call fro Erin today, says that the anesthesiologist is sick so they only have a replacement for a few hours in the morning
and my sugery might be canceled if the first case goes over its alotted time...I was like What am i suppose to do, I found a replacement at work, and my husband took time off, and I have done my liquids...what am I supose to do if they cancel me
she said then I will have to reshedual you, but I don't know when yet
