I got the beneprotein that Rhinette suggested. I priced around and the cheapest place is Ford pharmacy in Moncton. I think it was just under $20 a can. When I went for my weigh in appt, she told me about it so I picked up two cans. I did check around Freddy a little but this was good for me.
Can anyone give me any advise on protein supplement to add to drinks/food post surgery (sleeve). I would like to start purchasing now so that once surgery is done I can be ready. I would appreciate any experience I can get. Thanks
So glad to hear you are back home safe and sound, I can relate to the 2 hr drive (Fredericton), I hope the meds work their magic and you are back to normal soon.

so I was having pains in my stomach and I called Monique. I think they were acidy heartburn pain, but didn't know at the time. She said they would want to see me and that I should come in to Moncton. Ugh. Two hour drive. She said she would put me in with Dr b at 2:30 so I wouldn't have to sit and wait however long in the er. I was worried about driving back in the dark. Well he decided to admit me. I was dehydrated and he wanted me on if and he wanted to do a ct scan to test for a leak. I guess if there is anything he is very cautious and does this right away! My advice to anyone is if you have to go and get checked, bring a little night bag I was expecting staying so had no change of clothes, no toothbrush or hair brush, no book, or iPad and no phone charger. Thank God a nurse had my kind of charger!
so this morning I got the scan. I had to drink this most vile stuff and after three mouthfuls, my stomach rebelled and brought it all back up. They said it was ok and they would do the scan without it. It just makes it a little harder to see the picture, but it would still show. So I still have the pain in front and in back, same spot. My scan came back good, no leakage. He has now given me a script for pantaloc as well as another that is supposed to coat the stomach (and esophagus, I imagine) so that the bile won't bother me. I didn't realize that pantaloc and testa only work on the stomach acid and not the bile.
So now I am home. Getting ready for more improvements now that I know I'm not leaking!!

I was cleared from the psych last February. I kept checking with the receptionist and at a certain point she gave me the number to admissions, I think, at the hospital. The receptionists number is 506-862-7558. I would start with there.
Hi Ry! So glad things are getting better everyday. The best of luck in your interview...hope all goes well. Just waiting for a call for my surgery date too!
So happy for you, even with the inconveniences I am sure that you are happy to have this part behind you. I am also currently waiting for my surgery date in Moncton, everything has been cleared for a "go" now it is just a waiting game. I have been following your updates and have found them encouraging and it makes the waiting a little easier. Thanks a million!
Hello karasmom, it is from the clinic in Bathurst, Sandra is the receptionists, and so so friendly. They all are from Bathurst .From here on in everything will start moving faster. I know how you felt. I was you back in June when I finally after waiting almost 5 years, got my call, and I just came back from Bathurst from getting all my tests done. And meeting with the Anthesiologist in less then 2 weeks. Getting very excited!!!
Glad to hear things are moving along well for you. I'm just waiting for a surgery date in Moncton. Been cleared by the Psycologist for a few months. Does anyone know who I call? Do you have the number? Just curious as to how much longer i need to wait.
Great to hear your feeling so good. I was not nearly feeling so good that soon out. I got there eventually but it took some time. I hope that things continue to go well for you. Best of luck. Jillian.
