I got mine in July and they ask you to bring your medications if you take any. That was my 1st appt and on the same day I met with the nurse, psychologist and dietitian. so all together I have to go to Bathurst 5 times. prior surgery. Then Aug I went to meet the surgeon to sign the papers and Sept I had to go twice in the same week. One day for the education session and 2 days later for the blood work, pulmonary test and ECG test and now going next week to meet with the anesthesiologist and then wait to get my surgery date. it could be anywhere between Dec to Feb. That's what I was told. Hope it helps! that team is amazing they really are very nice!
Wow! That is fast! I would really like to get as much done before the snow flies as I can since I will be travelling from Sackville. Any suggestions of things I should ask at or bring to my first appointment?
Hi, I had my first consultation was around the first of March, then on April 1, 2014 went down to Moncton for the all day information session, signed final papers on August 8. 2014 and was told it would be another 2 - 6 months for surgery. Hope this helps.
What was the time lapse between first consultation to your surgery? Ever since i got my call last week from Dr. Savoie's office to go for my consultation the surgery is all I can think about. It was such a long wait to get to this point that I am worried it will take that long again to get to the loser's bench. Also are these types of procedures still covered by Medicare???.

Scallops Monique and just ask. Anytime they have holidays or other things come up, it will push the date farther.
So I had my first meeting with Monique and Dr. Beausoleil on June 23rd...Monique explained to me that next step would be the information session and that I should expect a call within 3 months...well 3 months has passed and no call yet...Anyone else waiting for the information session?? For those who already had the info session this year how long did you have to wait before getting the call?
sorry you have had a problem but happy that you are starting to feel better... All the best and take care of yourself

The new meds seem to be helping a lot. Especially when I take the one that coats my stomach just before I eat. Now to get the sore muscle in my back to heal. It must have cramped trying to protect the pain in the stomach. It hurts a lot if I try to take a deep breath or yawn. But it's slowly getting better too.
