Getting excited

I was referred to the GDH in July 2010 and had my appointment with Dr. Theriault on August 25, 2016.  Does anyone know how long my wait will be to get surgery?

No idea but seeing it took you 6 years for the first appointment pretty much makes me want to give up. Congrats on making it to this point.

Don't get discouraged.  I really tried to put the surgery out of my head and just focus on not putting on any weight.  It will probably go much faster now that they have two doctors doing the surgery.

I would say a year or less. Good luck :)

It took almost two years from initial appointment until surgery in Moncton for my sister who had her sleeve on September 2nd with Dr. Theriault. Now that she's helping with the caseload, I would expect this would be cut in half if not sooner but that's strictly a guess. I take it you didn't ask about this at your August 25th appointment?

She did not want to give me a time.  Probably because she was just getting started here in Moncton.  How long did it take your sister to go for her full day of class after her initial appointment?

I had my info session in October 2014.  Signed my papers with dr b in February 2015.  Surgery in April 2015. It moved pretty quickly for me.  I was originally referred to the Dumont in sept 2012. It depends on your health and reasons for the surgery how quickly it goes. I wanted to have children and wa****ting my 30s so they pushed me through. Since you have to wait 18-24 month after your surgery to start trying.
