Still waiting, signed my consent with Dr B in Moncton on Oct 3rd....

Yes I know.....I have to say I was really disappointed when I heard that........I feel like my life is on hold waiting for this surgery to come.  I know it is all worth it but it's been so many years and just when it seems within reach........still have to wait.  I know it's better than the alternative but ..... I was hoping it would be done in December now it could be April or later really....depending...... sigh.

Hey there.I had my first consultation in Sept of 2013 and signed my consent at the beginning of the summer.  I just had the gastric sleeve procedure on Tuesday.  Pain so far is surprisingly minimal and the entire staff at the Dumont hospital was amazing.  im sure that youll be getting some news soon.  good luck with the protein shake diet.  it absolutely sucks.  the only saviour was the caramel nut protein bars.  absolutely delicious,.  worth the extra bit of money to order the package with the p;rotein bars.  All the beston your next step on the journey.  Peter

Hi JJ...I signed my papers Sept 19 and waiting for my call to surgery...some people I was in the all day info session have started to get their surgery dates ...so I am getting excited that mine will be very soon!

Hi JJ ....the waiting and spinning thoughts ARE what everyone goes through.lol It is always there....always waiting for the next step.   It's tough when each stage has no guidelines or time tables...I am normally a patient person and I found it frustrating at times.  Reading posts on here and everyone so supportive and willing to share their progress has been such a blessing to me.  And everything that people said before me has been what they described. A very reliable group! The second I know or hear of anything I will be shouting it here!  You are close...so am I!
