Night in hospital

so I was having pains in my stomach and I called Monique. I think they were acidy heartburn pain, but didn't know at the time. She said they would want to see me and that I should come in to Moncton. Ugh. Two hour drive. She said she would put me in with Dr b at 2:30 so I wouldn't have to sit and wait however long in the er. I was worried about driving back in the dark. Well he decided to admit me. I was dehydrated and he wanted me on if and he wanted to do a ct scan to test for a leak. I guess if there is anything he is very cautious and does this right away! My advice to anyone is if you have to go and get checked, bring a little night bag I was expecting staying so had no change of clothes, no toothbrush or hair brush, no book, or iPad and no phone charger. Thank God a nurse had my kind of charger!
so this morning I got the scan. I had to drink this most vile stuff and after three mouthfuls, my stomach rebelled and brought it all back up. They said it was ok and they would do the scan without it. It just makes it a little harder to see the picture, but it would still show. So I still have the pain in front and in back, same spot. My scan came back good, no leakage. He has now given me a script for pantaloc as well as another that is supposed to coat the stomach (and esophagus, I imagine) so that the bile won't bother me. I didn't realize that pantaloc and testa only work on the stomach acid and not the bile.
So now I am home. Getting ready for more improvements now that I know I'm not leaking!!
Glad to hear, I love, love to read your posts. I have been reading you for awhile and have appreciated everything you write about. The waiting game is on for me, everything is signed, sealed and delivered. Hopefully I will not have to wait long, I signed the papers on August 8, 2014, possibly within the next few months.

Thanks for that. I try to write things so if anyone feels the same way they might feel better. But it's still best to consult the Dr and not just go by what I write. Maybe we can get together sometime since you are so close. I'm in oromocto.

The new meds seem to be helping a lot. Especially when I take the one that coats my stomach just before I eat. Now to get the sore muscle in my back to heal. It must have cramped trying to protect the pain in the stomach. It hurts a lot if I try to take a deep breath or yawn. But it's slowly getting better too.
