Shakes

I ordered my shakes today and was pleasantly surprised to see that they have the bars again.  Someone had posted here that the company in Quebec was no longer supplying them. Well they must have brought them back in. You can order just the shakes or shakes and bars. Four shakes per day or three shakes and two bars. I opted for the mixed bunch. It was $247.24 with tax and shipping for both ($212.44 for just shakes).  And there were different flavours for the bars. So I got the chocolate peanut and caramel nut ones.  There is also chocolate decadence, vanilla peanut, and caramel delight.  I hope I will like the flavours of the bars. I know the shakes are gross. I tried my friends when she was prepping for the surgery.

we had to do the diabetic boost when i went through it (Bathurst) and only had the shakes to choose from.  funny thing is, i still drink them 2 years later.  to make sure i am getting all my vitamins, i have a couple a week.  some things never change haha

congrats on starting the 2 week phase soon, not long now.

OMG. I just had my first shakes and it just tasted like chocolate milk!  This definitely wasn't what I had tried when my friend had to do it two weeks ago!!  Although liquids first thing in the morning on an empty stomach is kind of nauseating.  Hmmm maybe not as bad as I feared! Did they change their product to be more palatable?

Oh I meant my friend did it two years ago.

I just spoke with the company who did the shakes...they did just change the formula...so gone are the yucky shakes. Something I didn't think about is that we can also purchase them for after the surgery when we can't eat solid foods yet. $21 for a box of seven shakes and $19 for seven bars.  Plus the shipping charges, but still, good to know!

I'm happy to hear its going well. No headaches?

You may already know this but just in case not, don't forget to save the receipts for things like your shakes as you include that, your parking receipts, tolls, hotel receipts that are related to surgery, pre and post appointments in with the medical portion of your tax return.

Almost one week done!  I had the headaches, but two extra strength Tylenol nips those right in the bud for the day!  Haven't really felt hungry much. I space out the shakes and bars so I get through the day.  But the habits you don't realize...wow!  Little moments throughout the day when it pops into your head, hmm I should have some chips, or a piece of cheese, or I wonder what I should have for lunch.  Then followed right after, nope not for you!  I haven't cheated at all, not really tempted. The fact that the shakes are tasty and chocolatey probably helps. And I never thought I would say this, but I could use a break from the chocolate!! Lol
