It's been two month s and things are going well I am down 56lbs and I feel better than I have in years.I am so thankful for the surgery and all the things I can do now I am happy to be a Canadian because I couldn't have paid for the surgery myself. It took me five years but it was very worth the wait.

Congrats to you... Amazing isn't it?! If I could have a wi**** would be that all these people waiting for surgery didn't have to wait so long.. They will have their turn and feel what we are.. all the best and continued success!!

way to go glad to here your doing so good. I can't wait for all our friends on this site to have there surgery too it's a long wait but at the end it's worth it. I was 388 when I started this journey and now I'm at 301.8 so the surgery did change my life I don't have take my dietbetic pills no more. I do a lot more things with my kids because I have the energy to keep up with them so have a great summer and enjoy this gift they gave to us I will because our journey has just begun.

hi I am new at this I had a info session at the Bathurst hospital with a psychologist nurse and dietician. They told me that my next appt will be to see dr semergyn and then another appt an anesthesiologist and a half day info session. They couldn't give me a time line. Anyone have any insight as to what I am looking at?

I had the same as you on Friday in Bathurst......was told by December this year.  We'll see, but I waited a little over a year to get this far, so another 6 months is truly nothing.  New life for us coming soon.

i have waited almost 10 years to get that far.  i meet with the anesthetist on july 15.  info session isnt an info session ... its your preop bloodwork, chest xray, pulmenary tests etc ... you will need a sleep apnea test too, so be pro active and book that.

i hope my is soon, dec is way to long.  hoping for august
