Eggs
week 4...and the first time wasn't good...sometimes you have to try a few times....I was through Moncton...2 weeks pureed and then 2 weeks soft...
Hi all - I hesitate sometimes to reply because I had RNY - and most of you had VSG. So hope it's ok. I so looked forward to having eggs post op - I think I was allowed to have a soft scrambled egg about a month after - remember - I had RNY - so dietary rules post op are vastly different. Well - they didn't go down well - and for quite some time after. It was probably a year or so before I could eat one well mashed scrambled egg. It's such a dense protein - I guess that's why I had so much trouble with it. And every now and then - I still have issues with eggs - and various other things. It's not a free ride by any means. My husband had VSG with DR. Joya in May past. Has done quite well. He still at times forgets and eats too fast and boy does he feel unwell after. It's a journey for sure - with bumps on the road. Have a great day everyone!

Hi I started eggs the first day I was allowed soft foods which was 17 days after surgery. I mashed a poached egg which didn't sit really well and I was only able to eat a few bites but it was good after liquids for so long. I also enjoyed a scrambled egg on my puree stage with a cheese slice melted in which kept it moist, Hope this helps.
