Anybody hear from Lesley?
Hi Lesley, my upper stomach felt swollen as well and I think some of it was from not being able to go to the bathroom for so long. My back also killed me and I think that was from all the lying down and sitting down. I used a heating pad and the most wonderful thing of all was when I would get my husband to rub A535 all over my back, it was like heaven.
It will take time but you will feel better. It's like another hurtle you have to get over on this journey. First the waiting for the surgery then the recovery, then a stall, then hair loss, and later on maybe more stalls. The challenges will go on and on but we are sleeved and we are going to rock this
I think I'm just getting over my stall I've gained and lost the same couple of pounds for the past three weeks or so. I knew it was going to happen but it was still disappointing. But I kept telling myself that there is no way I could be eating 700-800 calories a day and not be losing weight. I used to eat 4 times that much and my body needs at least three times that much to just maintain my current weight. So I knew it was just my body and it was another hurtle.
I am anticipating the hair loss to start some time in the next month or two so that will be another hurtle because my hair is already thin . I know I will struggle with it but I also know that it will all be worth it in the end and we can all support each other on this site through it all. Take care. Jillian

Congratulations and welcome to the losers bench! I know exactly how you are feeling and can truly empathize with you, I was very sick after surgery and it took a long time to feel better. My first week home I didnt even want to talk to anyone, I was so miserable,I couldn't sleep for more than an hour at a time and it was painful to drink anything. I will give you some words of advice or wisdom or however you want to take them , I was on hydromorphine pain killers for the first 6-7 days and they caused extremely bad constipation. This may be TMI but I was unable to have a bm for 9 days and was sick with the pain from that. I tried everything to relieve the pain including gas x, miralax, two supositories and finally what worked was stool softeners and that made a huge difference in how I felt. I hope you do not experience that but it you do I would definately get on stool softeners asap. Take care. Jillian.
