How Long after surgery can I Travel?

Hello Everyone, I had my information session for Dr Beausoleil yesterday and it seems it could be another 6 mnth or so b4 surgery so somewhere around the middle of July is my guess,  now my Bestest best besty and I want to take her daughter (drive from New Brunswick and Im doing ALL the driving)  to Marine land in Niagara Falls and to the Toronto Zoo this summer, we have kinda been making plans all thought not set in stone yet, we wanted to go somewhere around the middle to end of Aug Before School Starts, so my question is How long after surgery is to soon to travel...

If you have an uneventful recovery and are feeling up to it - a vacation should be no problem as long as you pace yourself with the driving. BUT - getting the proper and adequate liquids and nutrition might be a challenge - at  month post-op you will still be figuring out what choices work best for you. If you could get your hands on a small cooler - the one that plug in to the outlet in your car - it would be great - then you could make sure you have on hand the things you need. Have a great time!

Thanks Mary, I have been talking with my friend about it for a while now, and she said she will for sure do everything she can to help, as for the cooler we usually bring one, but i never even thought about a plug in one, Great Idea!! we are also going to try to stay at places that have kitchens, so it would be less tempting to eat out, I hope things go smoothly, and thanks for the idea and information :D
