Hi ErinG i did my info session in june and only got my call to sign my surgery papers in nov that when my doctor told me it was about a 6 month wait so it will only done in may that would make it a year since i first met with Dr Beauslie so i guess we have to wait a little longer but the day will come a least we are a lot closer to our goal. I waited for the call see the doctor to have this surgery done for 4 years going on 5 so i hate the wait to but we are a lot finish to the end then the people who just the race

Thanks bigchris, I actualy already signed my papers, on my first appointment with Dr Savoie Oct 18th in bathurst, thats why i was a little confused as to why it will be so much longer, cause i did my papers and the information center Dec 3rd, we are just waiting now for a surgery date and pre-op testing, I actually had my first appointment with Dr Beasoleil in July 31 and I STILL have not heard anything from them, Im hope things move along quickly for sure, ive been waiting since 2009 and im getting anxious now,  Thank you for the information however :D, I hope things come together for your VERY soon :D

I met with Dr. Savoie the beginning of March, signed my papers that day, info session April and surgery in May. When I was last at the clinic I asked Dr. Semerjian what determines how many surgeries they do a week and if I understand other surgeries take precedence over the bariatric surgeries. So if there are a lot more of regular surgeries then that will slow the list down. So it isn't the clinic with the delay but the booking of the operating rooms and whatever surgeries are taking precedence over bariatric surgery.

ErinG...you are almost there. A few more months is better than a few more years so you are coming up to the finishing line. I also remember getting frustrated at the wait but when the time came I thought  "Wow that went faster than I thought".

I know it is a feeling that many on the board have experienced including me. The long wait then things get moving and then a wait  again. Hopefully it won't be too much longer.
