Maybe I had read your comment wrong!! LOL

I've been stuck for months too and not fun, however for me i know the reasons: haven't been exercising regularly, had not been tracking my food and too much junk food consumption. as soon as i change that, my weight start moving again.

thanks, my original goal was 165lbs, however i want to get under to give myself a little room to play with and not worry if i want to have a meal or junk once in awhile. we are still human after all right?? LOL

Ok, now I am on day 5 of my pre op shakes and I have found a miracle to make this easier. Instant coffee! I got regular and french vanilla. Either one tastes great in either flavour, and you don't need much. So now I am drinking something like a iced vanilla latte instead of the gross plain vanilla and the chocolate is like a mocha . YUMM.......... or...... at least not so YUCK

Hi All - Just wanted to chime in and say KUDOS to all of you doing the pre-op liquid boost (or other product). It must be really difficult. Back in 2008 - with Dr. B. - there was no special pre-op diet - only that when you weighed in a week before and had all your pre-op blood work etc done - you had to have demonstrated some weight loss from your previous appt. The night before my surgery I had a toasted whole grain english muffin with an egg on it. Sorry to make anyone hungry.angel

Hubby had VSG with Dr.Joya in May - he had to do the liquids pre-op for only 5 days - it depended on BMI - if your BMI was over a certain value it was 5 days - over another value it was 14 days. Can't remember the numbers right now. He did it - but wasn't impressed - LOL.

Anyway - CONGRATS to you pre-oppers doing this - and those who will.

Mary

I am finished of my first week of pre op shakes and I went to Moncton today to be weighed. I lost 18 lbs in one week OH YEAH .  My Torrani syrups arrived yesterday, The lemon seemed a bit artificial, the pumpkin spice was nice with the vanilla and some instant coffee, the strawberry was really good in the vanilla and tonight I put some pepermint extract in my chocolate shake and it was good too.
