Flavorings
Hi girls, I am drinking my doctors pre surgery shakes they are called Slim Time Nutrition and had to be ordered from Quebec and cost about $190. I have to drink four a day and that is all I am allowed on my pre op diet for the two weeks.Today is day three and I'm still alive. I ordered half chocolate and half vanilla. I am sure they are similar to Boost. So far the chocolate is not too bad. The vanilla is pretty gross I would recommend to anyone to go all chocolate, I wish I had. Yesterday I put some cinnamon in the vanilla one. That was ok, but it didn't mix in that well. Today I got creative and steeped a Tim Hortons pumpkin spice tea bag in a couple of tablespoons of ho****er , then added that to the vanilla shake with ice which cooled it all off and it was much better than the plain vanilla but still not great. I ordered some sugar free Torani syrups from a place online called Buy Coffee Canada with free shipping and I'm hoping those come soon. I hear some people use Mio or Crystal Light to flavour their shakes. I was thinking of trying instant coffee dissolved in a bit of water first so it would mix in. I was also thinking of almond, coconut or peppermint extract which you can buy at the bulk barn or any grocery store. I will post re any of the extracts that I try and the Torani syrups if they come in time. Good luck.

i am a slow loser and i lost 22 on my 14 day boost
I would not call this a "Slow Loser" have you ever been able to loose 22 lbs in 14 days before?????
I find people are hard on themselves sometimes as I've read so many stories.
Everyone has to see this as their own journeys and please do not compare yourself to others when you are loosing as you might get disappointed. People will go through the different stages at different times and that doesn't mean that you are failing or a slow loser. We are all unique and our journeys will also be unique.
I understand it's hard not to compare, however it will make life way easier if you don't.
In my 2 week pre-op, I lost 12 lbs, and I still see myself as being successful.
So please, don't think as yourself being a slow looser as I think you have done extremely well!! :)
i know that is very true. i just meant that i am a slow loser over all. i have been stuck for 5 months even. and even with all that i still lost 22 on the boost.
i still have a boost or two couple times a month just to get a little bit extra protein. or the new shakes from shoppers. not bad at all.
you are doing very well yourself. you are soooooo close to goal i see!
