How long a wait?
Hi there, I have been on the waiting list since April 2010 to see Dr.Marc Savoie in Bathurst. I haven't heard a word from his office. Does anyone know how long a wait it usually is to get in to see him? Im wanting Lap Band done. Also does anyone have his number to his clinic for the weight loss surgery? Thank you so much in any help you can give me :)
My referral is recorded as 1st week of June 2009 when Dr. Savoie's office received the referral letter from my GP. I have been calling every week. Finally, I was told that my file has been moved to the "contact in November" pile. Yes, there are two doctors there, but things seem to be slowing down.
Dr. Savoie's office does not contact you or anything. I started calling them since my phone number, last name had changed since my referral was sent in. And oh yeah, I have hypertension and diabetes since the letter was sent in also.
It is hurry up and wait time again.

this is not dr savoies doins its our health system with their heads buried in the sand and dont want to listen to the drs on how much money these operations are saving on health care lobby yur mla they are the ones who can speed things up it is in noway the drs fault i waited my 4 yrs like everyoneelse it is realy sad
I am patiently waiting a call myself.
It will be 4 years in October. I just called the clinic the other day and nothing has changed, she told me they are still in April. She said some months they could get 1 referral and then the next month they could get 30, so hopefully not to much longer. I know alot of people on here have said it was roughly 4 years from the time of the referral to get in to see him, so my fingers are crossed. After I get my call it will seem more real.
