Just had First Appointment in Bathurst!

Thanks for all your comments - They tell me they received my initial request in April 2009 (Im sure it was out there from late 2008-but hey) I've been waiting impatiently since then...I got a call in May about my first appt, had the appt June 25th, and just got a call today about my english Bariatric course on July 23rd, and a gastroscopy on July 24th..I will be in Dartmouth July 18 - 21st, have a day home, then I work at the Barracks on the 25th, 49th birthday the 26th and work again at the Barracks the 27th for a week strait.  School starts for me again Sept. 3rd - Id love to have it done before school starts again, but those chances look pretty slim...I give myself 4 hours or so to get there - and now need to find a cheap place to stay overnite...any suggestions? We took our camper  last time - but after 100 for gas and 100 for 3 nites camping, have decided that an overnitestay, meals and gas up would be cheaper....

Are you from Dartmouth Lisa? I am, I was just home this week-end..I hate leaving. My husband is getting out of the military on medical, and he is going back to school.. I cant wait to move back home!! :) Good luck with everything.

You can stay at the Pavilion at the hospital. It is a 12 room hostel or like a hotel. No internet/tv however there is a central lounge that has a tv with an attached kitchen. The rooms have 2 single beds and are as nice as any hotel room. The cost is $10 the first night and $25 each night after. You have to have an appointment in the hospital and you register at the accounting dept. that is located in the main entrance.  You will also get a voucher for the cafeteria that gives you 20 or 30% off your meals.

sometimes i find the pavilion is always full or at least when im trying for it, it is.

i have also used lakeview inn because you can get a coupon from radio price club sometimes that makes it a *****eaper.

i have also stayed at danny's inn which wasnt too bad but if you cant get the pavilion i would try radio price club see whats avail in bathurst

Congrats to you. I wish you all the best. I can well imagine now it's reality, since meeting the doctor. I have been on the list since Oct 09, so hopefully I will get a call this year too.
