Brown eyed girl
Hi Anxiousgirl,
Sorry I've not taken the time to post anything.. This Wed it will be 2 weeks since my surgery, the roughest day was the day after the surgery, besides that I'm feeling really good. I can't say I've had a lack of energy where I've had to take a nap during the day or anything like that. I have to say I'm really following my meal plan to the T, I prepare meals for my family .. they are amazed at how well I'm doing, however I must say I'm anxious for the purees.
I'm doing good with my liquids, no problem drinking water, juice or milk.. nothing ever came up. I also have some soup brooth when I feel the need for a bit of salt or a change in taste. I tried drinking one boost since surgery and I felt a bit nauseated so decided not to take anymore.
I mostly drink smoothies to get my protein which consist of greek yogurt, fruit and milk, I have no problem drinking my 3/4 cup, if I drink it fast there is a bit of discomfort for only a few seconds.
Wed I will start my purees. can't wait to see how that transition goes. I also have not taken any pain meds since the day after surgery, I can't really complain so far everything is good. I am also not having any problems taking my multi vitamin, chewable and a gummie Vit D. I see Dr. Semerjian tomorrow and will be able to tell you exactly how much I've lost since surgery.
Well went to the Dr. apt yesterday.. they didn't know I had an apt, I guess the letter I received was a mistake, next apt is July 9th.
I had my first pureed meal this morning, molasses beans, I was able to eat a 1/2 cup no problems.. I was a bit nervous on to eat since ppl are all over the board as to what they can eat.
Good stuff, pity party over.. lol
I was able to eat a vegetable pureed soup with chicken for lunch, about 1/2 cup for lunch and 1/2 cup of split pea soup with ham for supper... I don't want to pu**** and I take my time.
Hopefully you will see a change soon. Is it that you feel really really full after 3 tbsp?
