Surgeries in Fredericton has started!

Dr Boisvert in Fredericton did his first surgery last week. Anyone on his list waiting?

Wish I was..it would be so convenient considering Im 10 min from that hospital..lol Oh well Im too close to getting my call now to go on his list ..I will have to do the long drive to Bathurst..

Wow that was a big change in a couple of months. Last I heard was that he was just going to do follow up for the people in the western part of the province. I guess that changed with the extra funding now.

Anyone know how long he's been doing them? Who did he train under?

He did his first surgery last week and is only doing the sleeve. He has been working as a general surgeon for quite a while now in Fredericton and moved here from Quebec.

I wonder if he already has a long list? I live by Freddy and Moncton is such a long drive. Do you think he's as good? I never know with new dr??

I just spoke to his secretary and she said that he is not going by date received that he is picking through the list himself and choosing the lower risk patients first (lower BMI) for now.  He did one last week as a trial and is held up now waiting for funding for a dietician.  So I guess for his list there is no true waiting list as you might get in as soon as he receives the referral....totally his choice.

I did see that but I don't think it was for vsg. Remember he is also a general surgeon.
