OK now I am getting to the point that I want real food. I have heard of people putting lasagna and chili through the blender as their first mushie meal.

What did you have?

Oh wow....  That sounds heavy.....  I had cream of wheat , runny cream of wheat and it was a little different going dowm, almost a bit heavy or slow... not really painful, just uncomfortable.l...   If I could find a way to mush pizza it would be tempting lol...  I had tuna tonight with some cottage cheese and milk to smooth it out...  It was ok.  I'm seriously struggling to find high protein choices without having it all shakes or powdered....  I licked a cheesie.... I don't want the food, I miss the way it tastes lol. My daughter saw me and gave me a talkin to !!!   I have 11 days of mush then I'm on my own...  I'm scared to try things, I feel comfortable with liquids most the time and I'm still kind of satisfied with them.

Finally today I have been able to get liquids down and not feeling so restricted with them. I treated myself to a banana smoothie with protein powder. I am worried about the amount of protein I am getting as well.

I made a roast beef supper for my family today and put some aside in the freezer...in a couple of weeks that baby will be mine

Hi - hubby had VSG in Mexico almost a month ago - there was many, many things that we pureed. Chili, beans, seafood chowder, ravioli etc etc. Some of it didn't look appetizing - but at least he had a bit of variety as far as taste goes!

My faves during mushy stage were egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad....and yogurt, cause some days i just did not want another friggin pureed bite(and my mind knew yogurt was supposed to be soft--wierd i know)....I craved crunch, and was so excited one morning when a corn flake that was supposed to be mushy was crispy as a dream...lol

I tried the tuna salad but for the consistency needed it reminded me of tuna soup.  Ewwww....  Haven't tried egg salad, but eggs were hard nome before so I don't know if I'll try them yet...  I'm on "real food" Thursday....  I don't feel even near ready lol.  I'll probably eat soup and protein shakes longer lol

I had my pureed roast beef dinner. It was really good. For the past few days I don't feel like eating anything. I am just not interested or hungry.

I also had boiled eggs with cottage cheese and a bit of dill that was good too.
