Liquids Getting Stuck?
You might be getting in too much air when you take in your soup. Does that feeling pass after you are able to burp? Might want to try different ways of getting the soup in like instead of sipping from a spoon, put it in a mug. You might get your mouth a bit more full and swallow it in a few gulps instead of all at once. This might help reduce the air you intake with the soup.
i know that once i get the hiccups, that it is time to stop eating. its like a signal from my body. are you getting them all through the meal or after you have eaten some. maybe it is your signal also saying that you have had enough.
and quite a few of us get the gurgling noises and noisy tummy. its like talking to us lol
The hiccups come through the meal. I switched to a Tim Horton's mug today and things are much better. So I guess it was too much air.
I am finding it really difficult to get all the fluids in. Do I stop drinking water 30 minutes before I have my soup? Or is everything just considered liquids and I just sip through all of them all day?
actually, i was told to stop liquids 30 minutes before "eating" and that includes soup eating even though it is liquid, it is considered a meal.
some people do not have this problem and can drink right up to when they eat others cannot and it is recommended by the dr to not do this. drinking so close to eating will also keep your tummy full and you will not be able to eat what you need to, to get to your protein etc numbers.
wait your 30 min after eating soup or otherwise and you can start drinking again.
its such a leaning process isnt it? its like we are babies learning how to all over again :)
