I was just upstairs and it hit me that she was having surgery tomorrow!! All the best and I will be thinking of you and hopeing for a speedy recovery... eeeekk Im so excited for you!! lol

I'm home guys... Couldn't have had a better experience (under the cir****tances)... The Bathurst hospital was stellar, the nurses were great and dr. Savoie put me at ease. This was my first surgery ever and I was terrified. Overall, I am completely satisfied with how it went... I am still a bit uncomfortable but it's expected... My pain management went well, It's pretty much on request... I felt prepared to leave today on my new path... I'll keep y'all posted on my progress...

That is so wonderful that things went as well as could be expected. I have been patiently (NOT) waiting for an update from you. I will be doing the same thing in 4 days.

thanks guys.... jj, i dont think you have a thing to worry about.  the lady that was the nurse in our group session ( sitting beside the guy over by the door i believe) was just finishing up as i was wheeled into her room... she seemed to have a good experience as well and was up and about....  dr savoie checked in daily it seemed... may have missed a day lol but over all it was comfortable... the nurses were encouraging and were reminding me how wonderful this would be for me...  i always carry an element of shame and i was embarrassed for people to know i was having weightloss surgery...they made me feel like any other patient.... and the way i look at it now is that im doing something about it... something big and the encouragement was wonderufl.  my husband says he still doesnt notice anything....  i just thought to myself "wait for it buddy".... lol
