Sleeve Issues!

I'm waiting for my call for my surgery in Bathurst.. anytime for June or July according to surgeon.

I've been a bit more stressed since I joined a Facebook group, Sassy Sleevers...

I'm hearing of people having leaks after several months, has anyone ever heard this before?

Also I asked Dr.Semerjian and he said they do not do a leak test since the results are not clear.

If someone is to have a leak, how is it fixed?

As any of you sleveers come deficient in certain vitamin levels?

I find a lot of people say they are having problems getting all the protien.

Sorry for all the questions, but I guess the closer it's coming, it's more of a reality.

 

I've never heard of not doing leak tests.

As far as the protein you can always have a protein shake a day to supplement your protein. The bariatric center here in NS advises that(my doctor called them).

Don't worry we are all the same as our date comes closer.We are here for you. ask all the questions you need to. we will try and help.

I had mine almost 2 years ago now and I have not had any issues at all. I would recommend this to any one. I am going for a full body belt on June 17/13 and can't wait. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

i had asked dr savoie about the leak test too. he said he doesnt do them anymore

he said to me also, that he used to but he has only had one small leak and it did not come up on the test he did. that it was discovered later from the symptoms that you watch for. they do not happen often, it is just when they do, you hear about them. kinda like a plane crash. millions of people fly but when there is a crash you hear about it.

i was a bit nervous about this but i have full trust in him so i trust his decision. i watched for any symptoms and of course i would report them as soon as possible if they had presented themselves.

if there was a leak, im sure they would schedule you for follow up surgery asap to correct the issue
