Monthly meetings

I was only able to attend 1 so far, due to my shift at work. 

When I attended, there was only 2 other people. 

Is there anyone else on here that benefits by going to these meetings?

I will be able to go to my 2nd one in May as I will be on vacation that week.  Just wondering if there will be more people attending or not.

I guess i should have maybe included that I'm talking about the Moncton ones. Not sure if they have them also in Bathurst or not.

The one that I'm talking about is in Moncton.

 

I believe these meetings are only for people that have already had the surgery and that have had surgery done in Moncton.

I held a few get togethers a couple of years ago but they didn't continue. They were open to everyone. I asked a gain a few months ago & 2 people replied but we never found a time that we could all meet. It is nice to talk to people in the same boat as you.

In Moncton, Rinette does 1 a month, it's in a part of the hospital, and it's only for people that already had surgeries from what i understood.

i am still very interested in having meetings.  i had VSG not the band but would still be interested in getting together for support and ideas and to just vent.

I would as well, and as of May 1 I'll be living in Fredericton (moving downtown on York St.), not 25 min outside, so it will be easier for me to make the meet ups!

I hate to meet people who knew me almost 50 pound lighter, but I am willing to bite the bullet .....I can try to arrange a Fredericton meeting again.

I didn't know there were monthly meetings. Wow. I will call renitte tommorrow for more info. I wonder why they are not letting former pts. Know about this.
