new to New Brunswick, need support!

I am new to the province and had my gastric bypass surgery in Ottawa, Ontario in March 2012! I have no one to do follow ups with! I need advice and help! I moved here in July and still no doctor. I have had no follow ups since moving here. I did recently go to the er to see about getting blood work done.

I would suggest that you call your doctor in Ottawa and ask for a recommendation for a physician in N.B. I moved back to the Maritimes 12 years ago and I asked my doctor before I left Ottawa for a suggestion. He gave me 3 names of people he went to medical school with. I called each one and basically name dropped and that is how I got my doctor. I had my name put on the waiting list and have never gotten a call in 12 years.

 

You could get your doctor to send a referral to the clinic in NB. It might help you get your follow ups at least.

Where is the weight loss clinic on NB. My "weight loss" doctors tried findings endocrinologist here and had no luck. My family doctor, didn't have one, only had a nurse practitioner so no luck with referrals.

Dr. Angela Mc Gibbon is my endo and she moved to brunswick street I have app tomorrow and will ask if she take refferals, maybe ur doc in Ot. could send her a refferal tho the wait might be long I just waited a few months longer than she suggested due to high volume 447-4418. My doctors in Ottawa tried getting me into an endo here before I left Ontario, no luck! I will try to get to er so maybe they can refer me to her. Thanks for the help!

I believe Dr.Brown in peticodiac, health clinic is taking on new patients. about a 30 min. drive from moncton. She is a family doctor.
