Bathurst patients...

I was just seeing if anyone is waiting for dr. Savoie in Bathurst, nb.   I am still waiting but I called and they said my file had been forwarded to the hospital...   Has anyone been through the process there and could give me some information on how it goes.   Thanks for your help :)

Hi, I'm on the wait list for Bathurst, Dr. Savoie/Semergian since March 2009.  I've been called this passed August by the hospital, the first call all they wanted to know is if I was still interested.  I never heard back since then.  I tried calling last week to have an idea where they are at with apt's but was never able to speak to anyone.  What is your referral date?

My referral date was jan 2009 but there was an address mixup that got resolved in October...  I guess they had contacted me but it was returned ...  I'm back on the list now, but when I called the clinic to make sure everything was ok this week I was told the hospital had my file now.  Was hoping that meant things were progressing.

hi the dr submited my name to dr sovie 4 yrs ago i got my call to visit the clinic in aug 2012 for consultation then 3 times after that my surgery date wasfeb 14 13 valentines day for lap band im 4 days into my new begining now and feeling awsome  never had no pain a little soreness but im feelin great  since i started my 14 day fast pre op ive lost 32 lbs so it dose work  i beleive the person that told me its the best thing youll ever do for yourself good luck

i am/is/was on list for bathurst.

once i got my first call i believe it was in october of 2011 (had been waiting on and off since 2004). i had an info session, an appointment meeting with the dr. tests and surgery last may. so i guess once i got the "call" it was approx 6 months til i had surgery.

there is another surgeon there now so things may go faster. but im not sure.

once the actual appointments start to happen 6 months seem to go by sooo fast.

I have been waiting since March 2009 as well. 

Got called today for consult with Dr. Savoie!  My appointment is March 1.

Hmmmm.... My referral was jan 2009.  I wonder how they determine who gets called...    Congrats..

Eve_34 I believe that if the file has gone to the hospital then you will be called. I would suggest that you give the clinic at the hospital a call. My original consult was misplaced and when they found it they put it in the file for the original date of the referral so that I wasn't bumped down on the list but maintained my original referral date. 

I hope you find some answers. I know when I called one time and asked about how people were chosen to go for a consult, I was told they go by the date of arrival of the referral however sometimes Dr. B (for whatever reasons I was not told) will bump someone ahead. I suspect those that go to the top of the list before the referral date are seen because of severe medical issues.
