Update for all
Hi,
I have been sleeved since Feb-14-2012 and wanted to give a little update.
I don't post too often and I know when I was a newbie, or pre-op, I would like to read a lot about peoples progress and stuff as it really encouraged me and making myself realize more and more how I wanted this so much.
I have been overweight/obese pretty much all my life. It wasn't easy growing up that is for sure. Tried 100's of different diets when I was younger and followed dietitians, you name it i tried it and tried multiple things too as an adult including Simply Your Life, prescription from Dr., tried on my own, still nothing was permanent.
I had spells where I just didn't care and would eat whatever i wanted and quantities i wanted sometimes to the point where I'd almost make myself sick because i would just give up.
Fast forward, my name was sent for a consult since September 2007. I got to meet Dr Beausoleil for the first time on August 25, 2011. By that time, I had done a lot of research before seeing him to make sure I was making the right choice. Before even meeting Dr B. I had already my heart set up on having the Sleeve done, for multiple reasons. Dr B had also suggested that would be the best option for me, so i was pretty pleased with that.
I had my all day session on Oct 18, 2011. Signed consent on Dec 2, 2011 and had surgery on Feb 14, 2012 weighing in at 311 lbs.
I started my weight loss journey at 333 lbs on Jan 10, 2011 and was able to loose 22 lbs by surgery day.
Now I'm almost 10 months post-op and since surgery i have lost 114.5 lbs and a total of 136.5 lbs since Jan 10, 2011. I'm not done yet but pretty pleased with the results so far.
The surgery itself, i found hard the first couple days, but i just kept feeling better as each day went. I am almost 100% i could have never lost this weight without the help of this sleeve. It hasn't always fun and easy, but very well worth it.

YEAH...this is such a great post....and it is so true that we all just love to read the stories while we are waiting out turn for surgery, then for some reason post-surgery we tend to not post as much...Thanks for the update and it has been a fantastic year for you.
