I haven't heard anything from her in a while....I have sent her an e-mail asking how she is...will lwt you know if I hear anything...
Yes life is busy!! lol
I pop in on occasion but the last little while has been nuts. I was hired by our church to be the Pastor's Admin Assistant and the 12 hours usually turns closer to 20 (as I am also the Sunday School Discipleship Director) if not more some weeks now that the weekly programs have resumed. Plus I was hired by Statistics Canada for another survey contract. Add to that getting our 2 kids back into the swing of school and then decided to add to our family for this semester by being a host family for a high school student from China - he arrived yesterday so still working out some things etc.
I did go see Dr B yesterday and they are pleased with my progress so far. Lost 62lbs from surgery time and down 68 from starting the process with them last fall. I still need to take the pills for my stomach to not "slime" before meals, lol.
I do feel alot better and can move around easier. Went to a Tupperware training day in Saint John on Saturday and usually the trip down, training and trip back all in one day knocks me out but actually felt ok this time. There were a few who hadn't seen my since before surgery and they didn't recognize me at first!! Was nice to get lots of compliments and words of encouragement ... for the most part my friends and family are supportive ... although my father can be demeaning ... but I generally ignore him. lol
It is still a learning curve as to what to eat. Most things are ok if I have taken my pill but still stay away from bread, pasta, etc. Really miss my skim milk as the lactose free stuff is not the same. Often add a half portion of lemonade mix to my water to get more in.
Gone down 2-3 sizes so have sold some clothes but may need to go through the closet again - real pain when your pants start to slide down and the underwear is already drooping lol.
Thanks for thinking of me. If anyone has any questions often better to email me direct as only pop in here. Did get your email Tracey but was on the fly and figured I would give an update after seeing the doc this week.
Take care

PS We used to do occasional meetings a few years back and if you schedule one around the Moncton area let me know as I will check my schedule.
