surgeons for person with high bmi ?

Hi,

I am new to OH and I do not meet the criteria for bariatric surgery in Manitoba ( bmi of less than 47 ).  My BMI is too high.  Does anyone know of any surgeons who will work with people with a BMI of 60 ?  Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

 I am not 100% sure what my personal BMI was, but My weight was +370 when I saw him the first time...Dr Beausoleil is in Moncton NB...the wait time is about 4 years give or take, and if you live in the province, it might be less..but for me I was on a different list as I am from PEI...HE is an excellent doctor.  I have seen a few other people going into his office and I am sure that they would have had a VERY high BMI...so check into it...worth a try...

I went to Bathurst, NB.  My surgeon is Marc Savoie.  My BMI was 57 when I first saw him.  And I had surgery in February of this year.  There is also another bariatric surgeon who works out of the same office as Dr. Savoie but I don't know his name.  I am also unsure on the wait times.  For me, it was 3.5 years from when my referral was sent to having surgery.
