Will I ever get there?
It has been 3.5 years since my first surgery. I seem to be losing weight again.....but it is again. I have yo-yoed up & down just like pre-surgery. I have to wonder if I will ever succeed & reach anywhere near my goal....and stay there. I do have times when I just plain give up, but I always seem to try one more time. I guess I should remember that I am 40 pounds lighter than I used to be. I actually came t the site to update my weight loss ticker.....not to *****!
hey kitty,
thats ok, thats what we are here for. we are your support and ears when you need to get things off your chest. you are right, it may be frustrating to be in the same boat as you were a couple years ago BUT you are skinnier than you were then. a loss is a loss and you are dealing with it great. and like you said, you have started losing again and that is what matters :0)

Hi Kitty,
I arrived at this site when I was trying to locate the number for Dr. Beausoleil's office. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason and maybe I was just meant to sign on to this forum and meet some amazing people who are dealing with the same struggles that I am. I had my surgery just over one year ago and while I originally lost I have been doing a terrible job at getting back on track. The fact that in your post you indicted that you have lost 40 lbs and you are getting back on track is an inspiration and motivator for me and I thank you for that. I plan to hang out with you guys if that is okay? I have realized that my family, friends love me for who I am, whatever size, so if I am going to make this happen it has to be because I want it to happen. Looking forward to chatting with the New Brunswick NB group.

Definitely hang out here. This site was an amazing support for me for the first couple of years after surgery. As you can see, I still pop in every now & then especially when I need to vent!
I have had a lot of problems with my band and the girls at the clinic tell me that, while I am not the only one, most people never have any issues. I do get discouraged at times but I get over it and more on. I have been losing since the last fill- I think I have lost 7 pounds since July 4th. So I have hope again........
