SO, I might have finally come through the black hole that they call "a stall"...I know all the reasons why we hit stalls, but it doesn't make it any easier to take....I started solid foods last Thursday, and now today, Tuesday, I am FINALLY down 2 lbs......2lbs in 3 weeks....WOW...how is that really possible with the little amount of food that we eat.  I have been following the rule of protein first and keeping the carbs down below 30...but still last night, after having about 5 spoons of Trout, I was running for the bathroom and threw a good amount of it up!!!   Try again next week I guess.....

Anyway....I'll keep on going .....

From my current weight, I really need to lose at least 100 lbs,,,,I am about 5' 10 so I carry the weight easier, but I would give my left foot to be under 200...that would be high school weight...but if I can't get myself motivated to get out and walk...then it is not going to happen...but yes..it is a battle...even now 5 weeks out, trying different food and seeing if you can eat it or not...I have thrown up 3 times this week alone...

 you can do this
keep on being strong and you will be there before you know it

I love fish, and would eat it at least 2 x a week pre-surgery....ttried a very small burger with cheese tonight, no buns, and that was really nice..have been eating a kiwi a day too...tuna melts on the Body Wise bread and that is about it...taking it slow...just taking my pills in the morning is almost enough for breakfast....SO many pills now...B12, Mulit-vit, iron, calcium and my blood pressure all togather...oH yeah one more, I finally got a prescribtion for heart burn...taking too many Zantac a day...maybe someday I will be able to cut them back...funny thing is I wasn't having any heart burn per-surgery.....ya just never know....

Thanks for the support...it all counts....

I knew there would be a stall within the first month or so just becasue we are eating SO little, but MY stall lasted over 3 weeks...just sat there...now this week (#5 post-op) I have dropped 4 lbs in 4 days, so life is good....tonight I went out with a skirt I haven't worn in about 5 years...my hubby was some impressed...old is new again...and looks great.....YEAH...

But really...for me, drinking water was the biggest shocker for me...pre-surgery I would drink water all day every day, and the colder the better...icy was best and no flavour...NOW I really struggle to get 2 full bottles in and they need flavour....strange...but I hope that changes too...I found it really hard to drink any water the first week...I was getting too much air with my drinks and couldn't figure it out to change it...but over the weeks it has gotten better....I havne't tried steak yet, or salads...but they are on my list.....I am living off alot of canned tuna and chicken...protein first they say...so I am doing that...

Great talking to you too...

well now that your stall is over the pounds will start to come off hopefully 4 pounds is good
what scares me the most from reading is the chewing of food as right now I am a gulper
with everything from water to food.  trying to make changes now but it is hard.. trying to drink smaller sips instead of gulping etc..
Water has never been my thing but I quess i will learn with time
any way keep your spirits high and enjoy the ride can;t wait to join you on the losers bench
