Bougie size??

 Has anyone ever asked Dr B what size Bougie he uses??  OR does it depend on the person??  Just a question I had and I won't see him til Aug or so??

i dont have dr. b...i have dr savoie but right before i went into surgery i asked him what size bougie he uses. i have no idea why i asked as im not sure what it really means if i have a 32 or 34 lol
he said he uses a 34 french.

I checked at my consult with him this afternoon and he uses a 34.

What is a bougie?

 This is what I found on-line,,,"It is what they use as a guide to make the size of your new stomach. While under anesthetic the bougie is put down your esophagus to your stomach. the surgeon is then able to use it as a guide to staple/cut along side of it to form your new sleeve. "

You can google it more to understand, but one girl from PEI was asking me and I hadn't asked...so now we all know...34...which seems to be fairly standard.  AND Dr B said he used that size as that is what he was trained on....
