Ok so my appt to speak to me family dr for the first time about WLS is MOnday, any advice???? I have a lot of weight ot loose and honestly its just become to much for me. I have tried lots of diets, excersise and its to a point now that it is a stuggle to do most things, not to mention my self esteem..... :( Im 5'2 and 280, until after I had my son I was always small and in really good shape, I used to be a competitve figure skater but after I had my son the weight never left and it just kept pilling on. This is a pretty sensitive subject for me to talk about to anybody so this is a really big step for me but that says that I am at the end of my rope and feel like Im spiralling out of control and need help :( Any advice on things I need to talk to me dr about, questions, anything really.

Thanks,
Cindy F.

I would just explain, if questioned, what you outlined above. They'll probably just get your stats and BMI and send the referral to NB. Mine didn't give me a hard time or any stress over it. Hopefully the wait times are getting better but I would follow up on the referral after it's sent to get an idea about expected wait times. Good luck with your doctor and keep us posted.
