I may have been sick, but....

I remember reading your goal... I think I also remember you hoofing it 18km in one day!!! An inspiration!
I recently went on a caching trip with my hubby and boys where we hiked alongside a stream about 1.5km. It was tough and I was carrying the baby (lol he's 20 months... a nearly 30lb baby) a lot of the way. I realized at one point that I wasn't huffing or puffing or miles behind my husband and I was so proud of myself instantly. :P
We go by Burder Bums on geocaching.com. We're relatively new to it but the addiction has got us!!

I am beyond the lugging the baby stuff- it sure makes the hike harder. On the other hand,I sure do miss my babies and the family adventures we used to have. Our only baby is our grandson, who is 29 months old & my daughter wouldn't allow him out of her sight to go caching with us.
It does feel so good when we overcome the physical barriers tat our weight puts in front of us. I have not used the elevator at work for 3+ years and when ever I thing the few pounds I have lost does not mean much all I have to do is carry a heavy bag of stuff up to my third floor office and I realize what a difference even 10 pounds makes.
We just had our Geocachers association ByeBye Winter weekend. All cachers are welcome to come. Maybe you folks can join us next year.Welcome to the great obsession!

I bet your grandson will love it once Mama lets down her guard. LOL My boys sometimes get a bit tuckered out but once we find the cache they get all fired up again.. start posing for pictures and all.
Fredericton is not all that far and we haven't gotten a single cache there so I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. My parents live on the old highway from SJ to Freddy so we have been slowly working our way up Route 102 when we visit "big country" as my son calls it.
