About to Start Liquid Diet
I'm worried about my schedule making this liquid diet tougher than it will likely already be. I am up with my kids around 6am each day and then I work evenings so I do not usually hit the hay until about midnight. Wish me luck! I can't complain because this is what I have wanted for a very long time.
I'm not overly nervous about the surgery but I am worrying about the adjustment process. I have two busy little boys and I don't know how much patience they will have for me. My husband is amazing though and though he has his doubts about this whole process... he is behind me.
I'm hoping to hear from anyone and everyone who has any suggestions, advice, etc. I've been reading through many of your stories and they make me more and more excited to get going.
I start my 2 week pre op diet on Tuesday, so we will be in the same boat!!
So i am just wondering, when you say liquides, have you decided to only have liquides for the full 2 weeks??
I have some of the bars, about 5 boxes, and the rest i will have diabetic boost.
I have an off shedual too and worrie also how i will make it through the day without starving!! LOL
I get up in the morning and take care of my 3 year old, and then i go to work at night and am up till about 2-4 am, so don't get much sleep. Going to be an interesting 2 weeks that's for sure!
Not married, but also my bf has had his doubts and didn't want me to go through with it at first cuz he's scared something will happen to me, but he supports me and he know the time has come and i will not turn back!!
So not much advice from me, as i am pretty much in same boat as you!! LOL but just wanted to share.
- I have 1/2 a shake at breakfast, then the other 1/2 mid-morning.
- Lunch is a bar.
- 1/2 shake in the afternoon
- Full shake at supper
-1/2 shake in pm
The first day was not so good. I had a migraine and I was figuring out what to do (spacing the meals). Today, migraine is downgraded to bad headache, but the meals worked out well.
Good luck to you and to better life!!
I thought that the headache was just me being cranky and causing myself a stress headache. My first day was brutal... just noticing those small things you take bites of without evening realizing it. Like making my kid's lunch and snacking as I do so, late night snacks, just plain old cause I want to snacks... LOL
Today is my third day and I haven't developed a pattern for how I divide up the shakes but I usually always have a full one at breakfast. After that I play it by how I am feeling at the time and how long I expect to be up that day. I did get some of the bars... now I wish I had gotten more because I only got one box. I did get some vanilla and some chocolate for a variety but I find the taste difference to be minimal.
I am so worried about getting sick and having to go through this again. You are my hero Kitty for having the liquid diet twice. :)
Thank you for all the well wishes. It goes back at you all and I'm interested to keep in touch as time goes on. Take care,
