How Long is waiting List to see DR. Savoie?

I had my surgery on Nov 24th and I was on the list for years. As for age I really do not think you should worry because when I was at my last post op appointment there was a lady who just had surgery and she must have been close to 70 years old.  She said that it made her feel like a new woman and that her diabetes had improved dramatically.  You will love Dr. Savoie and his team.

Thank you for your reply.  Do you have Dr. Savoie's direct number to his office and I tried the number on the site and got an answering machine to another Dr.'s line.

I have been waiting for almost 3 years now. Last time I called the bariatric clinic was in September. They told me they were not booking no more because they were too far already in the booking. I was told to file a complaint at the hospital, that would be the only way we (the people still waiting) would "maybe" get some help.

I am so discouraged... I've been suffering from depression over depression for the past 7 years and I know one of the main reasons is my being overweight (very badly overweight) My BMI is 49 and I have 2 very young kids.

My God, this is long!!  *sigh*

I just called Dr. Savoie's office, they are now working on the referrals from February 2009.  She also told me that there is a new Doctor helping Dr. Savoie.  My referral went in in February 2010.  She told me she couldn't tell me how long but to keep calling back and checking.
