getting motivated
I have tried a couple of things in an effort to get motivated & to get moving. I bought a "Fitbit"- which is like a Fit Bug that gets talked about on the main lap band forum. It measures my steps taken (more accurately than most pedometers), floors climbed, calories burned, how active i have been, & distance traveled, I down load it every couple of days to the Fitbit site, which is free for the first year, and if I register what I have eaten, it will tell me if I am ahead of the game or NOT for the day. I find that I really want to get those 10,000 steps in every day. It will also tell me the quality of my sleep, if I register what time I went to bed & got up. It costs 100.00 plus shipping.
The second thing is a site (I can't remember the name at the moment) which I linked to from the Fitbit site. This site you decide what you want to improve in your health habits & you play a game against other people with similar goals. I chose to cut sugar out 6 days per week, fried food only once per week, take my vitamins daily (I have been slipping lately), drink my water daily, & to limit my snacking in the evening to 100 calories (my biggest issue of all). I am not sure how well this is going to work yet as I just started, but if it keeps me even a little more accountable, it's a good thing! I am only 4 days in & already i realize that I am skipping my vitamin a lot more often than I thought.

sounds awesome,
sounds like you have the motivation to get or stay on track
i think (with me anyway) when we have to be accountable to something or someone, helps me more than not.
when its only me i find that i do well for the first little bit but since "big brother" isn****ching, it seems to go downhill.
the tools you mentioned sound pretty good. i know there are a few things out there in internet land to help (i dont have internet except at work) so i mostly have to do it the old fashioned way lol
you will have to let us know how it goes

60 pounds gone!!! Look at you go, girl! My weight has been up but stable....if that makes any sense! I gained about 40 pounds between being unfilled last January and my second surgery and my weight has bounced up & down since. A week ago I turned up the effort & I am down 3 pounds this week. I would love to get together for coffee. Nothing like following the rules to make this band work.I have had good restriction for about 3 weeks, so I am trying to make the best of it.
