Our stories are similar in a lot of ways!  I just started working at Old Navy because they were so supportive while I was lossing weight and now I too am in a size 18 bottoms!  Love buying real clothes, fastening my seat belt, lossing two full shoe sizes, and cutting my hair to hide my hairloss too!  Happy to hear I am normal for a change!  You go girl!!!!

I've always felt that I can relate to your posts Chrissy, and felt an unspoken connection with you and your journey.  Even though we didn't have the same surgery, the journey and excitement is the same for all of us!

I'm glad that Old Navy is so supportive of you and your surgery!  We're all on the right path, it feels amazing.

All new 'normals', but just as exciting for sure!
Keep rockin' it!

WOW -  look at you girl! You must feel so awesome! And you look it too! The energy thing - it just gets better and better - as does all those other improvements in your life and how you feel. Way to go!

 Thanks Mary!
You've been a huge motivator for me, have read all of your ladie's posts in here since pre-surgery.  It's kept me going when everything felt hopeless.  I glance back quickly, to see how far I've come, but never look back!

Just mobility and the day to day things that people take for granted... that in itself is a huge gift to have back.

Now, looking back -- and when my friends saw those three pictures side by side, they said.. they never remember me looking.. 'that bad or that big'.  It's strange to hear, because that first pre-op picture was my son's birthday, and I looked the best I could.

Another close friend of the family said.. There's the Carly I know.  Makes me wonder.. why no one saw it happening all along, or why I didn't see what I was doing to myself.   It's a chapter in my life I'm not proud of because it was controllable, and I was out of control.  I'm glad that chapter is over!

 Thanks Beeker!
Keep hanging on and fighting for yourself and your health.  Get this done however you need to, whatever way you can.
It's the best gift you can ever give yourself.  Your life.

The weight itself was debilatating, but hiding behind i****chinglife pass by from the sidelines instead of partaking was even worse.   There would be a million things I'd do over again if I could.  There was something I could have done in the last 10 years for myself, besides waiting for my opportunity at life through surgery.  I wish I hadn't felt so hopeless.

Do whatever you  need to do to keep you on track, with the goal in sight.  It's all worth it and then some!

WOW!! You look amazing. There is a big difference inyour face. The excess weight was hiding a youthful, beautiful face. You look years & years younger! Keep up the good work.
