First Consult

Hey just wondering if anyone has heard how far along Dr. Savoie is on first consults? My referral was sent in March 2009. Any info would be great thanks.

My referral was sent in December of 2008.  I've completed all my tests except one for respiratory functions.

I met with Dr. Savoir during the second week of May of this year.  I signed my consent on that same day and have been waiting ever since.

I heard that they have stopped first consults until surgeries get caught up somewhat.

Good news is that there is another Dr.  who will be doing wls.....they're trying to go through the red tape and it will take a while.

Don't get discouraged.  You're only a few months behind me in getting your referral in so it shouldn't be too long once they start up again with consults.

I know I'm not much help, but I wanted to give you some info, because not knowing is worse in my opinion.

 When I called about 6 weeks ago, they were working on the referrals from Feb/09 but things were on hold then for anymore consults until they can catch up. I was told that I would probably hear something in Jan/Feb 2012.

My referral was sent March 2009.
