Birthday weight lowest in 20 years!
It has been a long struggle since my lapband on December 2009, and I have done just about everything wrong with a bad attitude that I could. A friend gave me the wake up call I needed this summer by calling out my bad attitude before my last fill on July 21st and I took it to heart and have tried to change and work with my band!
Well it is all paying off!! Today is my 49th birthday and I am wearing size 18 jeans from Old Navy and I just bought a top from the regular section of Reitmans! Wow, the last time I weighted 230 lbs was in the first year of my marriage in 1989!
I have lived most of my life as a fat person, missing out on so much, and I refuse to be that person anymore! So here is to a brighter future, one small step at a time! Today I am celebrating the fact that even stubborn mules like me can loss the weight! Celebrate with me!

So glad you are doing so well. Isnt it fun to go shopping and buy a regular size? I use to hate shopping , now I must admit , I enjoy looking in the mirror and trying new things on. Would you mind sharing what you did or changed that you feel helped the weight come off better than in the previous year. I am still struggling to lose my excess weight and get to goal. I am walking now one hour a day, every day, and get lots of protein, and drink a lot of water and still , I am stalled. How much do you now have in your band ? I have 6cc in mine, and I believe we were banded the same year and month. Am happy to hear you are doing so well, keep it up girl. Congrats
Congrats Chrissy! Look at you go girl. You didn't give up. That is the big thing. I came so close to giving up when I needed to have my surgery redone, but I am relosing the weight I gained. I am trying not to focus on the fact that when the band was not working, I gained half of the weight back, but instead I started telling myself that i was 40 pounds lighter that at my previous surgery & I am losing again! It is never too late to start a new day with a new outlook!
