Since my last fill, My port site has been somewhat sore, with mild pain radiating into my back. It was accessed by a nurse just learning how to do the fills, and was an extremely painful experience, It felt like she hit something- was extremely hurtful. I actually screamed. The doctor took over and completed the fill and she apologized. I don't understand french so didn't know what was being said between them, and was too agitated to ask what had happened. Since then my port site has been sore, going on over a month now. Is it normal for the port to sometimes feel a little raw? Needless to say, although I understand the nurses have to learn through practice, I will not allow them to give me my fills in the future.
I have had a sore port, but not ffrom a fill. Mine happened when I bumped into something, and I actually turned it over and now all my fills are under fluroscope. I think you should call the clinic and talk to them about it, but if it's that sore you need to see Dr. B or someone at the hospital. My mantra is better safe then sorry! Keep me posted!
I was going every 6 - 8 weeks, but now that we have found a level of fill that has me loosing weight he doesn't need to see me again for 3 months. That brings me just about to Christmas, so I think I will weight to the new year to go!
After fighting my lapband for so long I have finally figured out I just need to eat less! Duh...like it was rocket science! It's starting to get better!

My port is sore off and on I asked the last time why and Dr B said at times there can be some bleeding around it if you bump it , excercise to hard or have a fill. But I also have mine done under fluro I think it would be wise to hav ethem check it out at least under fluro once. My first experince was a nurse training and she could not get it then teh Dr step in and he could not get it , it had flipped so now I have my fills down under fluro
