Hi all,
I have been reading this forum for the past couple weeks, read most posts as far as it would let me.
I have read through people's journey on here, and i wanted to thank you all for sharing your experiences as it has helped me to understand more about these surgeries and believe it has helped me in deciding on which way i will go.
So this week I had my first visit with Dr. B. in Moncton, he seems like a pretty nice Dr. Don’t know much details yet on timeframe, but he said that he knew the waiting (almost 4 years) felt like a long time, but that when the process starts, it won’t be as long of a wait.
Anyways, just wanted to say hi, and hope you are all doing well.
Jo-Ann
Hi Jo-Ann,
Welcome to the forums!
Good luck on your journey, and I truly hope things go smoothly for you.
This is the best thing I have ever done for myself... ever.
My surgeon and his team gave me my life back, and I've only just begun.
It's going to be amazing... just keep hanging on and it'll happen for you!

Welcone Jo-Ann. I waited 3 yrs from the time my consult was sent until my actual surgery. Looking back - the time flew - I went on with my life and as each month went by and I experienced diferent events in my life - my decision to have WLS was reinforced over and over - so I was DEFINITELY sure it was for me by the time my surgery occured. And it's been over 3 yrs since. With Dr. B., and his team - I had no doubt that I would get the best possible care. Please feel free to have a look at my profile and my blog - I'm not good at updating over the past year or so - I guess I'm just too busy enjoying my new life. Take care and good luck!
