2 Year Bandiversary
I haven't updated in awhile but on July 29th, I celebrated my 2 year anniversary so I thought I would update.
Another upcoming milestone for me is in September, I will be celebrating 1 year of staying at the same weight without a fill.
At surgery, I weighed 289 pounds and now I weight 140 pounds. It's incredible and I have so many things to be thankful for. This surgery has truly affected my life in the most positive ways. Words cannot express how much of a happier person I've become. I will try to post a before and after soon.
The band has not been easy. I've discussed about my struggles on here before and I've had many.
I am now able to eat comfortably without any problems. I am at my ideal weight and have been for almost a year. I don't even care about the scales anymore. I just live my life and I am happy with who I am. I haven't had a fill in a year and I don't even want one - I love my food way too much. I've finally reached my ideal plateau and life is good.
Do I recommend the band? Yes, but again, my success hapenned because I went through hell. If I didn't get my fills regularly or endured some times where eating was nearly impossible - I wouldn't be here and I truly believe that.
All this to say that it was a rough rollercoaster but I made it through.
Happy Anniversary to moi.
