The end of day 5
Almost half way there. It is very tough at times, but not nearly as bad as last time. I am not having the weakness I had last time. I have not has even a nibble of food, but I have added a couple of "coping" strategies. I have added sugar-free jello & sugar -0free Popsicles. I know the jello is OK, I am assuming the Popsicles are too. The only "cheat" I've allowed is 2 coffees a day with soy milk.
This time is easier, but I am not loosing like last time either. My theory is that I have starved myself so many times in the last 18 months, when my band would get too tight, that my metabolism has tanked.
I am doing a ton of spring cleaning in advance of the surgery. I am trying to eliminate any temptation to do housework or organize just this little...........
I go to get weighed on Tuesday- I am only down 3 pounds so far. I am anxious to get past this surgery & back to losing weight (& my skinny clothes)..
